I did lessons with Wayne to upgrade from auto to manual and had a great experience! He was very patient, explained everything clearly, and made the process much less stressful. Definitely recommend!

Wayne is absolutely the best driving instructor in Cairns! I upgraded from an automatic to a manual license and Wayne was respectful of my time and concentrated on the essentials! Wayne is a fantastic driving instructor who is calm, kind, informative and supportive. Wayne knows how to make a learner driver feel confident in themselves and their abilities. I have used Wayne to instruct three of my children. Two have already gained their P license - having passed the test first time - and one is currently on Learners. The package deals are great value and the booking and communication process is easy. I highly recommend Wayne at Epic Driving School.
My daughter passed first time with Epic which is a testament to Wayne as a driving instructor as we only had an automatic car for her to practice in! In a few lessons, he managed to get her confident and proficient enough to pass a manual car test. Also of importance is that my daughter felt comfortable with him and enjoyed his company. Recently passed my test first try, all credit to Wayne for preparing me for the test. During the lessons he teaches so well and is a 10/10 bloke. 100% recommend!

The lessons are all always enjoyable and I come out feeling a lot more confident in myself but also in the skills I have developed with Wayne. He remains calm at all times which is extremely helpfull and helps you feel more open to asking questions. He gives constructive, accurate feedback when needed and adapts the lesson to what you need to build upon, so that you can have the skills you need to pass your test and become a more than just a competent driver but a calm and observational driver making your driving more comfortable for everyone in the car. I’ve only done two lessons with Wayne but so far he has been extremely helpful in keeping me comfortable on the roads and helping me gain more confidence with gears and the clutch. As an extremely anxious person he doesn’t make me feel pressured or stressed out even when I do something wrong. I would highly recommend.
I took 11 lessons with Wayne and I would like to say that he is a brilliant instructor. He is never late for lessons, always polite, calm, energetic, has a great vibe and is super easy going.
